Renville school bus crash kills 1, injures 6
A collision between a school bus and a car in southern Minnesota has killed one person and injured at least six others.
Renville County sheriff's officials say a bus carrying the Renville County West boys basketball team hit a car on an icy road north of Renville about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities say a passenger in the car, Maria Karla Nonweiler, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene. The car's driver, James Nonweiler, 30, is in critical condition at a Robbinsdale hospital.
A spokesman at RC Hospital in Olivia says the couple's 3-year-old son and four people on the bus were treated and all have now been released.
