Minnesota legislators return to action at the State Capitol today following Monday's holiday. It's a short week, but House and Senate panels will begin working on some of the key issues of the session. Committee hearings are scheduled on business taxes, environmental permitting and alternative teacher licenses.

Also, Gov. Mark Dayton is expected to get together with legislative leaders to talk about security issues. MPR News political reporter Tim Pugmire discusses the week ahead with Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer.
