The White Earth Nation is sweetening a deal it's offering to get a casino built in Minneapolis. Tribal chairwoman Erma Vizenor said Thursday that the tribe is prepared to give the state of Minnesota $400 million if White Earth is allowed to open a new casino in the Twin Cities metro area.

Vizenor says the money could cover the state's share of a nearly $1 billion stadium for the Minnesota Vikings. But her proposal faces a thicket of issues at the Capitol, including a cool reaction from Minnesota House Speaker Kurt Zellers.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer talks with Vizenor about the proposal.
