Today is a pivotal day at the Capitol

Though funding remains a question, the Minnesota State Capitol Preservation Commission recently proposed a $241 million renovation plan would improve ventilation in the commons areas of the building, restoration of the stone exterior and would also include a complete overhaul of the building's inefficient mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.

After months of debate and years of anticipation, state lawmakers are finally poised to vote on a bill to build a new Vikings stadium. The Minnesota House is expected to hold a marathon debate on the bill today, and the conclusion of 2012 session appears to be right around the corner. But there are some other unresolved issues.
