The Hennepin County medical examiner's office says a single gunshot wound killed a 5-year-old boy who was sleeping in a north Minneapolis house.

Nizzel Anthony George of Brooklyn Park was on a couch at his grandmother's house Tuesday morning when a bullet came through the wall and struck him. The boy was pronounced dead at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Police believe a gunman apparently involved in an ongoing dispute with someone at the Minneapolis home took aim at the house and opened fire.

Minneapolis police spokesman Sgt. Stephen McCarty says four homicide investigators worked on the case overnight, but there have been no arrests.
