New data ranks Minn. health care services

Minnesotans now have access to extensive new data on primary health care providers across the state to help choose the best quality care.

Jim Chase, president of Minnesota Community Measurement which collected the data, says the group teamed with a special edition of Consumer Reports to rank treatment for diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

"They've helped us to write some really good articles," with a focus on the importance of the measurements, where to find better care, where to find leading clinics and what those clinics do, Chase said.

More than 550 clinics were rated on 88 quality measures, which are all available online here.
