New arts facility set to open in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- A North Dakota art museum is opening a new facility.

The Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Center for Creativity is a 25,000-square-foot building located next to the Plains Art Museum in downtown Fargo. It will have classrooms, studios and exhibition space.

The center is named for a longtime arts advocate and educator in North Dakota. Its primary client will be the Fargo Public Schools, which plans to have 5,000 elementary school students visit the gallery each year.

A public open house is scheduled Sept. 30.
