As Election Day draws closer, the main issue of the presidential campaign continues to be the economy.

The MPR News series "Economic Lookouts" talks to Minnesota voters to get a better idea of how they feel about the current state of the economy. Our lookouts are members of our Public Insight Network and we'll be reaching out to them in these weeks leading up to the election.

P. J. Wiggin is a substitute teacher in the metro area. He spoke with MPR News this week from Fair School in Crystal where he was subbing for an 8th grade English class.

Wiggin said that the number of open positions in school districts is directly related to property values.
