Suspect in woman's death already in jail

CLOQUET, Minn. (AP) -- A Duluth man in custody on another charge is likely to be charged in the death of a woman whose body was found on the Fond du Lac Reservation.

The Ramsey County medical examiner identified the woman Friday, a day after her body was found. The examiner says that 25-year-old Cristyna Leah Watson of Floodwood died of "homicidal violence." Her family hadn't seen her since early September and she was subject of a missing persons' bulletin.

The Cloquet Police Chief tells the Duluth News Tribune that a man being held in the Carlton County Jail for the August non-fatal shooting of another man is also likely to be charged in Watson's death.

Police Chief Wade Lamirande is not saying how Watson died except to say she was not shot.
