4 duck hunters plucked from frigid waters

Four teenage duck hunters are expected to fully recover after they were rescued from the frigid waters of a Beltrami County lake.

Sheriff's officials say a boat carrying the four, ages 18 and 19, capsized about 200 yards from shore on Three Island Lake near Woodhaven Resort last evening. The resort owner and another man launched a boat to help the men and were soon joined by local rescue personnel.

Sheriff Phil Hodapp says the four young men were floundering in the lake near their boat in about 10 to 12 feet of water when rescuers reached them.

The hunters were treated at the scene for exposure.
