1 dead, 1 hurt in fire at St. Cloud home

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) -- St. Cloud fire officials say an intense early-morning fire engulfed a local home, killing one man and injuring another.

The fire department responded to the fire about 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Fire Chief Bill Mund says the blaze had already consumed much of the home, and the flames were so intense that firefighters couldn't go inside.

Mund say the man who died isn't being identified pending notification of relatives. The injured man was treated at a hospital and released.

A St. Cloud Times report says two other people who lived in the house weren't home at the time.

Mund says investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
