Woman, 67, rescued from partly submerged car

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Plymouth police say a 67-year-old woman survived a chilly night after her car drove off the road into a frigid pond.

Police say her condition wasn't immediately available Saturday, but added that she was lucky to be alive.

A KARE-TV report says the woman left her Centerville home Friday about 6 p.m. for an event in St. Louis Park. When she didn't arrive her husband called police. He told them his wife has a serious medical condition that requires regular medication.

A passing bicyclist noticed the car partially submerged Saturday morning and called 911. The woman was conscious and alert when paramedics rescued her.
