Key committees in the Minnesota House and Senate will be looking closely at DFL Gov. Mark Dayton's budget proposal this week.

Democratic legislative leaders have generally praised Dayton's approach to erasing a projected deficit, while boosting funding for education and other priorities. But they've stopped short of endorsing any piece of his tax reform proposal. Meanwhile, Republicans are claiming that the administration has held back important budget details.
