ND blood donations sought after blizzard

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- United Blood Services of the Dakotas is urging people to donate blood in the wake of the weekend blizzard in the region to ensure a stable blood supply.

The organization says the storm forced the cancellation of several blood drives, and few donors were able to venture out Monday in the aftermath of the blizzard.

United Blood Services of the Dakotas has North Dakota offices in Bismarck, Fargo and Minot, and South Dakota offices in Aberdeen, Mitchell and Rapid City.
