As the accumulated snow begins to melt, attention turns to the Red River and the potential for flooding.

The Red River begins as the Ottertail River and Bois de Sioux River join up in Breckenridge, Minn. The crest is expected on Monday in between Breckenridge and Wahpeton.

Engineer Tom Richels, who is working with Wilken County on flood preparations, speaks with MPR News.
