Minn. Opera to stage free outdoor shows

The Minnesota Opera plans to present free outdoor concerts next month.

"Opera Under the Stars" will feature a performance of Puccini's "La Boheme."

Performances are scheduled June 14 on the Target Stage on St. Paul's Harriet Island, June 15 at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis and June 16 at Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault.

The performances are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

The Minnesota Opera plans to launch its first mobile site for these events on June 14. The mobile site will feature English translations of the opera.

The Minnesota Opera is presenting the free outdoor concerts as an encore to its 50th anniversary season.
