Man sentenced in prostitution case in ND

Authorities in Grand Forks say a 27-year-old man has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison on a felony charge of promoting prostitution.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that Joshua Harry was sentenced on Friday.

Harry, along with Amanda Stewart, 22, and Travis Johnson, 30, were charged last year with human trafficking of an underage girl, a felony charge that carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Harry and Johnson pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of promoting prostitution. Johnson is facing an additional charge of corruption of a minor and a felony charge in Minnesota. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 15.

Stewart was sentenced to 70 days of community service after pleading guilty to the lesser charge of criminal facilitation in April.
