Woman killed in Mpls. drive-by shooting

Minneapolis police say someone in one vehicle pulled up next to another car and opened fire, striking two women. One died from her wounds and the other was in serious condition.

Police say the shooting happened Saturday about 2 a.m. They say the women were in a car with two other people when another vehicle pulled up and fired gunshots.

One woman who was critically injured died Saturday afternoon. Her name has not been released.

Police have no one in custody. Their homicide unit is investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting. Police Sgt. William Palmer says there's not a focus on a single person or circumstance at this point.
