2 dead in chain-reaction Minneapolis crash

A chain-reaction rear-end crash killed two people and injured four others in north Minneapolis overnight.

Police say three cars were waiting at a stoplight on eastbound Olson Memorial Highway and Morgan Avenue at about 1 a.m. when a fourth car struck the line from behind.

Two people in the third car were killed. The driver of the car that hit them is listed in stable condition at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to police. Three others were also taken to the hospital.

Police say they're investigating whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
