Minn. man guilty in sex trafficking case
A Ramsey County jury returned a guilty verdict Friday night in a case involving a wide ranging St. Paul sex trafficking ring.
The jury found 27-year-old Antonio Dion Washington-Davis of Brooklyn Park guilty on multiple felony charges for his role in running the sex trafficking ring. Between 2010 and 2012, he enslaved and prostituted several women and girls, said Ramsey County Attorney John Choi.
Two of Washington-Davis' uncles have already pleaded guilty in the case. His brother goes on trial next week for his alleged role in the ring.
Investigators pieced together eight different email addresses, 30 different phone numbers and over 100 credit cards the brothers used to carry out their scheme.
Choi and others say sex trafficking is a growing problem in Minnesota.
Washington-Davis will be sentenced in December.
