Along Waseca's main thoroughfare, the Sleigh and Cutter Parade traversed through downtown and returned to its starting point at the Waseca County Fairgrounds on Saturday. The parade included sleighs, cutters and horses of various sizes and types, from miniature horses to the well-known Clydesdales.

After the parade, festival goers could take in a few ice sculptures or head over to Clear Lake for the other highlights of the festival: The Kruger Memorial Vintage Snowmobile Race and Time Trials featured a four-lane, 500-foot drag strip for various classes of snowmobiles.

In the echoes of the snowmobiles' roar, Clear Lake was also host to a curling tournament that drew curling clubs from around the state. Even with skies being mostly clear, a light snow came down, but no one seemed to mind as they enjoyed a relatively warm winter day.
