Al sat down with co-hosts Tess Weinberg and Alex Gaterud to chat about his upcoming new solo album, "Next Summer." 

The record, which drops on March 13 and will be celebrated with a show at the Turf Club in St. Paul, is awash in '80s-style keyboards, saxophones and smoothness.  

Given Al's tribute band involvement, the conversation also touched on the proliferation of cover bands in Minnesota music right now.
