Time magazine political reporter Jay Newton-Small is out with a new book about the role women play in politics and in business. It's called "Broad Influence: How Women are Changing the Way America Works." Women serve in greater proportion in political office and the judiciary than they do in the private sector. Newton-Small says that's because their "bosses" are "the voters."

Jay Newton-Small spoke April 26, 2016 at the Commonwealth Club of California. The moderator was attorney and broadcaster Melissa Caen.
