Aspen Ideas Festival: Alec Ross on 'The Industries of the Future'

If you consider all the world's information, from the paintings on the cave walls to 2003, the same amount has been produced just in the last two years.

Alec Ross says making use of that information will create entirely new industries, and turn others on their ears.

In his Aspen Ideas Festival talk about "The Industries of the Future," Ross says the coming developments in science and technology are going to contribute to both the promise — and the peril — of our future.

The author of "The Industries of the Future" is a distinguished visiting fellow at Johns Hopkins. He spoke at the Aspen Ideas Festival in June 2016.
