The FDA chief spoke Friday at the National Press Club.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb is the commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA regulates pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and is responsible for food and cosmetics safety as well.

Gottlieb discussed the opioid crisis in America, vaccine safety and other concerns. He answered questions from reporters at the National Press Club in Washington.
