Gopher men's basketball highly ranked
The University of Minnesota Men's basketball team began their season Thursday night with an exhibition game against Concordia.
The Gophers won that game easily by a score of 106 to 58. Minnesota is ranked number 15 in the nation in the preseason basketball polls.
It's the highest they've been ranked at the start of a season since 1993. Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the Star Tribune, discusses the Gophers with Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer.
