Twins pursuing free agent pitchers

The Minnesota Twins made some moves during baseball's annual winter meetings, which ended Thursday.

The team signed 40-year-old relief pitcher Fernando Rodney and starting pitcher Michael Pineda. Pineda is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is expected to miss all of next season.

The Twins are also pursuing starter Yu Darvish, who pitched for the Dodgers in the World Series this year.

Star Tribune digital sports editor Howard Sinker discusses the Twins offseason moves with Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer.
