Remembering Linda McCartney

Linda McCartney died 20 years ago Tuesday after a three-year battle with breast cancer.

Photography, horses and animal rights were among her interests outside of music. She also inspired a number of songs, most of which were composed by her husband Paul McCartney.

But the first one was written when she was just a little girl. Her father, entertainment lawyer Lee Eastman, asked one of his clients to write a song using his daughter's name. The result was "Linda," which has been recorded by many artists. It was a hit in 1947 for Buddy Clark and the Ray Noble Orchestra.
