Prosecutors charge homeless man in Mpls. ramp attacks

Hennepin County prosecutors have filed rape charges against a 22-year-old homeless man accused of assaulting two women in a downtown Minneapolis parking ramp earlier this week.

Peijan Lamont Hodges was charged with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct. He is in custody and expected to make a first court appearance Monday.

According to the complaint, he slapped one of his victims as he held her down in her car and raped her. The woman managed to press the car horn in an attempt to alert passersby and a witness called 911 while another chased Hodges outside the parking ramp, according to the charges.
