Lee Ehmke wrapped up 15 years as head of the Minnesota Zoo this month.

Ehmke is headed to Texas to run the Houston Zoo - a zoo with a bigger budget, more animals, and more visitors.

During his time at the Minnesota Zoo, Ehmke oversaw the addition of many exhibits, including Russia's Grizzly Coast and the Heart of the Zoo project. He's known for designing immersive exhibits.

Before he heads for Houston, Ehmke joins Tom Weber to talk about his time at the Minnesota Zoo, and the future of zoos, as animal habitat continues to shrink.
