Minneapolis police say two suspects are in custody in connection with an attempted auto theft that turned deadly. Amos Ferrier, who worked with a local veterans’ nonprofit, died from injuries suffered while trying to stop the theft.

Federal prosecutors on Wednesday filed a fresh batch of fraud charges ahead of a visit to Minneapolis Thursday by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and other administration officials.
