Where is the MPR Radio App?
The streaming features of the old MPR Radio app were moved to the new MPR News app, so the MPR Radio app was discontinued in July 2025.

Tap the Listen icon at the bottom of the screen to browse shows, interviews and episodes.
How do I listen to podcasts on the app?
Podcasts are also available under the Listen icon.

Yes, the app supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Can I listen on a Bluetooth or smart speaker?
Yes, the app supports Bluetooth streaming.
How do I close the audio player?
Swipe the player left or right to dismiss it.
User Account and Login
Do I need an account to use the app?
No. You can read and listen without signing in. A free account lets you save stories and sync your content across devices.
What do I get with a free account?
Save favorite programs, episodes, stories and videos. Your saved content syncs automatically between the app and the website when you're logged in.
How do I create a user login?
When you open the app, click on “Sign up for free” and follow the instructions.
Can I use my existing MPR login?
Yes. One account works across MPR News, The Current and YourClassical — on apps and websites.
How do I sign in to my user account?
When you open the app, click on “Sign in” and follow the instructions.

Yes, if you are logged in. Tap the save icon to bookmark stories and access them anytime.

Turn on push notifications for the app to get updates from our newsroom that affect your life in Minnesota — sent when it matters, not just when it happens.

Where can I find weather in the app?
Find weather via the Weather (cloud) icon at the bottom of the app screen.

Where can I find accessibility settings within the app?
Go to Settings → App Settings to switch between light and dark mode. To adjust font size, use your device's accessibility settings (these are controlled at the operating system level).
Why is the live stream buffering?
Buffering is usually caused by a slow or unstable internet connection. Try switching to Wi-Fi or moving to an area with a stronger signal.
How do I report a problem or give feedback?
Go to Settings → Feedback in the app to report technical issues or contact us.
