Congressional candidates in Minnesota's 4th District and 5th District

To wrap up the series of debates and interviews with the candidates in Minnesota’s eight congressional districts, MPR News political editor Mike Mulcahy hosted the last edition of “Politics Friday” before the Nov. 3 election.

• The 4th District: An interview with U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum, DFL. The Republican candidate is not waging an active campaign.

• The 5th District: An interview with Republican candidate Lacy Johnson. Incumbent DFL U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar declined to participate.

Also during the 11 a.m. hour, MPR News political commentators Todd Rapp, DFL, and Maureen Shaver, Republican, discussed the state of all the congressional, U.S. Senate and state legislative races as we head into the final weekend before Election Day on Nov. 3.
