New reward in Wadena missing person case of Carla Beth

Authorities announced a new reward in a Wadena missing person case. Carla Beth Anderson was a 23-year-old vulnerable adult living in her own apartment in Wadena in 1987. On Nov. 13 of that year, she returned home around 8 p.m. after having dinner with her family, and hasn't been seen since. The nonprofit Spotlight on Crime is now offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to Anderson's whereabouts.

The group overseeing the city of Minneapolis’ court-enforceable agreement on policing has released a report showing the city falling behind on its goals two years into the oversight process. The report by the monitoring group identifies deep problems with the city's internal affairs unit, among others.

The Minneapolis City Council will have two public hearings this week as it considers repealing the longstanding ban on adult bathhouses. Adult bathhouses have historically been frequented by gay men and were banned in Minneapolis in 1988 during the AIDS crisis.
