St. Paul set to clear homeless encampment at Pig's Eye Park

St. Paul is set to clear a homeless encampment at Pig's Eye Park Wednesday. At a city council meeting Tuesday, several neighbors and advocates said the city should delay it. Between a 120 to 250 people live at Pig's Eye Park. The council and mayor approved about $1 million in funding to expand capacity at shelters ahead of the closure.

Republican Mike Lindell says he's stepping down from his CEO role at MyPillow to focus on his run for Minnesota governor. Lindell founded MyPillow in 2004 and has grown the Minnesota company, selling the product through infomercials and increasing annual sales to more than $100 million.

The discovery was made over the weekend. Police say poles that support the cameras were cut down and found nearby each camera location, but the cameras are missing.

Target Field concession workers have announced a one-day strike Wednesday at the sold out Noah Kahan concert. The expected strike follows one in June when the Twins played the Los Angeles Dodgers. The union and the concessions vendor have been in negotiations since March.

While motorists in the Twin Cities may see fresh pavement on the closed Highway 280, MnDOT officials say drivers keep endangering workers by prematurely going around the barriers. The highway carries between 50,000 and 60,000 vehicles a day and has been closed since mid-April.
