Students in the Fridley school district are returning to classes Wednesday morning. The Fridley school district was

. Now, at the start of the new school year, district superintendent Brenda Lewis says enrollment has not fallen, even though school leaders expected it to.

A judge in Minneapolis Tuesday handed lengthy prison sentences to the two men convicted in a mass shooting last year. Three other people were wounded.
