Members of the band Editors met in a music technology course at Staffordshire University. They quickly ditched the class because it was "too geeky" and decided to form a band. After a few name changes and one modification to the lineup, the group became Editors. The neo-post-punk quartet writes songs that explore the fine line between the futility of life and the possibility of better times. The band says its debut album "Back Room" reflects its love of early REM, Joy Division and Echo and the Bunnymen.
Song performed: "Lights," "All Sparks," and "The Hit."
