A scorecard on the stadium debate

The stadium debate at the Capitol grows more confusing by the day. Earlier in the session it seemed as though the Twins stadium plan would have smooth sailing -- both proposals passed in the House.

But things started to get interesting when the stadium bills hit the Senate Taxes Committee. The Twins proposed funding their stadium in part from a .15 percent sales tax in Hennepin County.

What emerged from the Taxes Committee Tuesday was a proposal for both a Twins and a Vikings stadium, and future transit projects, with funding coming from a sales tax increase in the seven-county metro area.

To help keep score on these issues, MPR's Tom Crann talked with political editor Mike Mulcahy.
