The trouble with bottom trawling

Bottom trawling tracks, Oculina Bank, Florida.
This image shows the impact of bottom trawling on the Oculina Bank, located off the east-central coast of Florida. Bottom trawling, a fishing method which involves towing nets along the ocean floor, has raised concerns over damage to seabed communities. Note the small linear mounds of coral rubble created adjacent to the track of the trawl.
