A new study released yesterday at the American Heart Association's scientific meeting in Chicago indicates that patients who get stents to prop open their artries need to get the stent implanted right away, or it doesn't do much good.
Cathy Wurzer talked with Tom Gunderson, a medical device industry analyst for locally-based Piper Jaffrey about what kind of impact the study will have on the two large makers of stents who have manufacturing facilities in the Twin Cities, Boston Scientific and Medtronic.
