Twins starting pitcher Brad Radke has scheduled a news conference where he is expected to announce his retirement from baseball.

Radke indicated that he was planning to retire during last season when he was hampered by pain in his throwing arm. The right-hander has been a mainstay in the Twins starting rotation since he came to the major leagues in 1995. Only two pitchers in Twins history have won more games than Radke.

Cathy Wurzer talked about Radke's career with LaVelle E. Neal III, who covers the Twins for the Star Tribune.
