When the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra arrives in Budapest, Hungary on Monday, the ensemble will be joined by four young students from the Twin Cities.

Through its educational program, the SPCO offered junior high school students a chance to go on tour with the orchestra. Students gave presentations proposing how they'd share their experiences when they return home.

A panel of musicians and community leaders selected Cecilia Mazumder Stanger, Claire Romey, Jasmine Randle and Sophia Deady. They'll travel with the SPCO during the orchestra's visits to Budapest and Vienna.

Before they departed, Minnesota Public Radio's John Birge spoke with the students about their plans for the trip and what they'll do when they return.
