Ira Glass' "This American Life" hits the Twin Cities

Critics say he has changed the way radio sounds and stories are produced. Now, Ira Glass, the host of the public radio program, "This American Life," is getting ready to bring his show to television. The cable channel Showtime will air the first episode March 22.

Glass and the crew from "This American Life" are in the Twin Cities to tape an episode of their radio program at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis Wednesday night. MPR's Greta Cunningham spoke with Glass to talk about his show, television and the art of storytelling.
