(AP) - Winter keeps hanging on in Minnesota.
A late-season storm moved into the state Tuesday and the National Weather Service predicted it would leave up to several inches of heavy, wet snow behind by late Wednesday.
As of Tuesday evening, forecasters were predicting snowfall totals could reach the 6-inch to 10-inch range in south-central Minnesota, and the 2-inch to 6-inch range across much of central Minnesota to Eau Claire, Wis.
A heavy snow warning was out for southwestern and south-central Minnesota, including Marshall, Worthington, Mankato, Owatonna, Fairmont and Albert Lea.

A winter storm warning was out for southeastern Minnesota, including Austin, Rochester and Winona.
A snow advisory was out for a broad swath of west-central through east-central Minnesota, including Fargo-Moorhead, Fergus Falls, Willmar, Brainerd, St. Cloud, New Ulm, the Twin Cities and Red Wing.
The Twin Cities area was forecast to get 3 to 6 inches of snow by the time the storm moves off to the east.
Little snow had accumulated as of Tuesday evening. Due to the warm ground, only a half-inch of slushy snow had built up in parts of southwestern and west-central Minnesota, but the National Weather Service said the snow was expected to pile up faster as temperatures dropped during the night.
