(AP) - A woman's body was recovered Wednesday from the Mississippi River near the dam where four members of a St. Paul family were sucked underwater over the weekend.
Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand said the body was recovered at 9:20 am. below Lock and Dam No. 7. He said the body was believed to be that of See Her, 34, but the medical examiner hadn't confirmed the identity.
Brand said the body surfaced when one of the roller gates at the dam was opened in an attempt to jostle loose any bodies stuck in the debris around the dam. About 10 boats were lined up below the dam, looking for anything to surface.
Brand said the search for Cha Kong Yang, 34, and Her's son and daughter was continuing.
