Sen. Norm Coleman's father dies

The father of U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman has died after a battle with cancer. Norm Coleman Sr. was 82.

Sen. Coleman's spokesman says the senator is not attending Senate proceedings, to be with his family.

Norman Coleman Sr. who raised eight children in Brooklyn, New York, and ran a construction company.

He was a World War II veteran and will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
