Commentary: The plight of the cycling motorist
Bikes and cars follow the rules of the road.

On Friday this week, the monthly Critical Mass bicycle demonstration will take place in Minneapolis.
During these events a large group of bike riders take over city streets, and the bicyclists often clash with motorists who get caught in the traffic.
Last month, 19 participants were arrested after a confrontation with police.
Commentator Peter Smith understands the tension between bikers and drivers. In fact, he empathizes with both sides.
