Veterans Home gets new director
Acevedo will take over an organization that is being scrutinized for scores of state and federal code violations and mismanaging the care of at least one veteran, who died in January.
Gil Acevedo is currently the administrator for the California Veterans Home in Chula Vista. He spoke on the phone with All Things Considered host Tom Crann to explain how he plans to address the problems at the Minnesota Veterans Homes.
