Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards will campaign in St. Paul on Tuesday evening.

His campaign said Edwards will make a stop at the Carpenters Union Hall, at 710 Olive Street. The event is set for 6:45 p.m. It's free and open to the public.

Edwards has yet to win a primary or caucus, and finished a distant third in South Carolina's Democratic primary Saturday. But he told The Associated Press on Saturday night that he's forging ahead to Super Tuesday with a belief that the "dynamic could shift at any time."

Minnesota holds its precinct caucuses and North Dakota holds its primary on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Edwards is due to appear in Fargo, N.D., on Wednesday morning, at the Fargo Labor Temple, 3002 1st Ave. N.

Meanwhile, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle planned to campaign Minnesota on Tuesday for Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

Daschle was slated to appear at Pearson's Restaurant in Edina at 12:15 p.m.; at Macalester College in St. Paul at 2:15 p.m.; at Coffman Union at the University of Minnesota at 3:30 p.m.; and at The Local along Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis at 5 p.m.
