(AP) - It's the first day of spring -- but that doesn't mean the chance of snow has ended in Minnesota.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for west-central and southern parts of the state for tonight and tomorrow.
Forecasters say it will start as a rain-and-snow mix in southwestern Minnesota, then turn to all snow and move across the rest of the southern part of the state.
The weather service says snowfall could top 6 inches in a band from west-central into southeastern Minnesota. The rest of southern Minnesota could see 2 to 6 inches of snow.
And colder weather is on tap for Minnesota this weekend. Highs will be in the low to mid 30s on Saturday.
